Shinagawa Matsuri

hauled my butt out to shin-bamba to check out the Shinagawa Shrine festival. first stop, the festival vendors:






and on to the main event! i went out there cuz i wanted to see the Oiran-dochu (procession of ladies in top-ranking courtesans' attire in Edo Period). here are the lantern bearers clearing the way:

and i went up to the shrine on the hill for a night view:
