Faux Pax at a gallery opening

D has an artist friend who had a gallerty opening in Naka Meguro. he makes these little headless men out of different mediums. most of them were cendles. very clever.

this is what they look like when they die.

purdy lights!

i don't really go to these kinds of things so i was a) underdressed and b) out of my element. D had a bunch of his gorgeous looking friends around (very sweet girls) one of which made me feel not so bad after ruining a 7800 yen t-shirt (someone had spilled wine on the floor which i didn't see and accidentally dropped the white t-shirt over it. ooops). and another girl was totally understanding as one of my wild hand gestures went awry sending her piece on cake to the floor. hmmmm, i don't think D will be taking me to any more of these things . . .

Here's the artiste. If you wanna check him out, he's a french dude named Thibaut (pronounced kinda like T-bone) Rocher. Sorry dude!

i am but a humble amateur photographer but i sure do have fun with my favorite little hobby. recently, everyone's been talking about their facebook/myspace pages and how they need a new picture. personally, i don't subscribe to all that biznass so i don't know anything about it. however, that doesn't stop my from nominating the next few photos on mine for people's online community pages. Send in your votes!!

Yabusame! Hells yeah!

went to Asakusa for some horseback archery. it started with a procession from Denpoin temple.

after they marched through the streets, we reconvened at the park by the river for the exhibition.

These are my 2 new british friends, Jude and John, that i met at the shrine earlier. we became fast friends and had a bowl of soba afterwards.

Here's a couple shots of the action:

here's a short video! Don't blink or you'll miss it!
