hanami 2010
when the weather cooperates, the blooms aren't ready and when the blooms are open, the weather is gray. but i've learned to enjoy what i can, when i can (never know when i might keel over permanently).
The stretch of land where the river bifricates in akabane is one of my favorite places to see the cherry blossoms. i discovered this little local nook a couple years ago. it's a fair walk from the station which ensures there will be a limited number of loud drunken peeps.
on a slightly gloomier day, i ventured to Ueno, the complete opposite of my akabane nook:
heaps of beautiful flowers but also tons of people.
ah, spring in the city.
